Sega "Aliens: Colonial Marines" Collector's Edition 8-inch (20cm) tall Power Loader Figurine

Let's POWER Up for the New Year 2014 :)

This rather detailed Power Loader and Xenomorph NPVC Collectible figurine came with the Sega "Aliens: Colonial Marines" Collectors Edition pack. Pack includes the game and additional USCM Dossier with Mission Brief, USS Sephora schematic, recruitment card, LV-426 Recon photo, USCM iron-on badges and Certificate of Graduation.

I was only interested in the mini statue that is the Collectors Edition 8-inch (20cm) tall Power Loader with Xenomorph Figurine :)

The packaging itself is rather eye catching with a swarm of alien Xenomorphs surrounding the box and looking like they are ready to pounce and attack the lone Marine figure in the seat of the Power Loader. The USCM Marine already has one Xenomorph climbing on the Power Loader and about to inflict some serious damage on the human in the machine. What will the outcome be? Scroll down to see the rest of the pictures.

The Caterpillar P-5000 Powered Work Loader has been selected by the US Colonial Marines as their prime loader vehicle for logistic and support operations. Configured as an anthropomorphic exoskeleton power frame, the P-5000 offers unprecedented flexibility when handling ordinance and cargo during rough field operations or when conducting heavy maintenance away from fixed workshops.

The Marines never expected that the Power Loader would be used as a weapon to combat the alien Xenomorphs until Ellen Ripley showed them how. In the 1986 "Aliens" movie, she first impresses the Marines by offering to help them load their drop ship and displaying her expertise with the large Power Loader. She later battles the Queen Alien Xenomorph with it when she steps inside the exoskeleton-like machine and makes herself an even match for the giant Queen.

This Sega "Aliens: Colonial Marines" Collector's Edition 8-inch (20cm) tall Power Loader with alien Xenomorph Figurine is highly detailed for something so small in scale and size, which is why it caught my attention. I don't believe in paying too much for statues but this particular piece was on offer at a very good price :) I was attracted to the statue and am not even interested in playing the game LOL

Review III: AX2 "Boom!" Series Collection #2 1/6th scale Rei 12-inch post-apocalyptic figure

continued from previous post...

Ending the year 2012 with a "BOOM"! haha

Here's AX2 "Boom!" Series Collection #2 1/6th scale Rei (clone prototype) 12-inch action figure as he is meant to be seen and displayed - with his cool looking jacket and lugging his big a$$ gun which also stores his two swords. Having already reviewed the packaging and contents (posted in my toy blog HERE), plus showing pictures of Rei without his jacket and armed with his two swords (pictures HERE), now's the time to see him as a complete figure :)

This is how I will be displaying this AX2 "Boom!" Series Collection #2 1/6th scale Rei (clone prototype) 12-inch action figure but not before showing how he looks without his jacket, as seen in the earlier posts. Rei comes with jacket, white T-shirt with sewn on black sleeves for layered look, pants, chain wallet, gloves, shoes, a big a$$ gun and two swords. A pair of extra gloved hands and additional pair of shoes (exclusively for the first 100 pre-orders) are also included. Scroll down to see all the pictures of a complete REI figure :)

REI Backstory by AX2:
He is the key to cloning, he is seeking for his path... his name is Rei. In the storyline, Rei, the main character, is the first clone experiment and he is the only clone soldier survived after the civil war with his own kind. He then became the key for cloning, and was hunted for such reason.

Here's REI unsheathing his sword.

The diorama base is used for photography purposes and is NOT included with the set ;p

The latest figure by MC Toys: M-035 will be a 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12" action figure

This is the latest offering by MC (Magic Cube) Toys: M-035 will be a 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure. The Special Air Service or SAS is a regiment of the British Army constituted on 31 May 1950. It is part of the United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF) and has served as a model for the special forces of many other countries all over the world. 22 SAS gained fame and recognition worldwide after successfully assaulting the Iranian Embassy in London and rescuing hostages during the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege, lifting the regiment from obscurity outside the military establishment.

The SAS CRW (Counter Revolutionary Warfare) was formed in 1975 after Prime Minister Edward Heath asked the Ministry of Defence to prepare for any possible terrorist attack similar to the massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics. SAS CRW is trained in Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and sniper techniques and specialises in hostage rescue in buildings or on public transport.

MC Toys M-035 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure will come with 1/6 scale Real Like Head sculpt, 12-inch Action Figure Body, Gas Mask, Gas Mask Cover, Bulletproof Vest, Pigskin Vest, Aircrew Knife, Radio with PTT and Mic, Abseil Harness, 8 Type Drop Ring, D Ring x 2, Leather Belt, Leather Pistol Holster, Leather Triple Magazine Carrier, Leather 9mm Magazine Carrier, Green Sling, Leather Boots, Pilot's Gloves, Flashbang Grenade x 2, MP5A3 SMG, 4 SMG Magazines, P226 Pistol, 3 pistol Magazines, Blue Piece Suit, Shotgun bullets red x 10, Shotgun bullets blue x 10, Cable Ties x 2. Scroll down to see all the pictures

The last SAS figure I reviewed was the Loading Toys 22 SAS Regiment which was posted in my toy blog HERE. That set had no 12-inch figure, just the SAS outfit and equipment, including weapons.

I have a certain affinity for the SAS because it was an Action Man 1/6 scale SAS CRW 12-inch figure from the 1980s that got me started on my 1/6 scale figure collecting hobby back in 1994. You can check out how the vintage SAS figure looks like in my post dating back to October 2007 HERE

IMHO the best 1/6 scale SAS CRW 12-inch figure produced and released so far has to be the Medicom Cro-Magnon MSFS (Medicom Special Forces Series) 1 - SAS (Special Air Service), released in 2000. You can check out the full review HERE :)

Comparing this upcoming release of the MC Toys M-035 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure to the one released by Medicom Toys in 2000, it does seem a bit lacking in accessories.

It's still nicely done and I'll most likely be getting this figure and adding him to the SAS collection

The 1/6 scale head sculpt reminds me of the Welsh actor Luke Evans, as seen in "Fast and Furious 6" as Owen Shaw, a former Special Air Service soldier now leading a heist gang.
